Marvel’s Midnight Sun is one sleep away from the January 26th release of the first DLC*. You already know that “The Good, the Bad, and the Undead” adds Deadpool to his Midnight Suns roster of playable Marvel heroes**. Did the mouth join the team? Did you know that he uses unique En his Fuego resources on the battlefield, or that his hood his truck is parked right outside the monastery?Read more Please give me.
Deadpool has its own story mission
Deadpool joins Midnight Sun after crossing paths with the Hunters (and the Hydra Army, the vampires, and Red Skull’s granddaughter Shin) while trying to covertly release an artifact from the Museum of the City of New York. The story of this botched heist and subsequent confrontation with a vampire foe is a series of new episodes in which Deadpool, who is fully aware that it’s coming to video games, doesn’t take things significantly more seriously than his new allies. It is played out in missions.
“Deadpool should be expected to break the fourth wall on a regular basis, both in and out of combat,” says creative director Jake Solomon. “It’s like playing a game with a foul-mouthed but adorable friend.”
Note that Deadpool’s story is separate from the main campaign, but once he joins your roster of heroes, you can include him when building your team for missions. And not just because his wise voice is masterfully voiced by Nolan North…
Deadpool can do so much damage!
Deadpool’s unique En Fuego resource has the potential to make him increasingly powerful as the mission progresses. Many of his ability cards incorporate the En Fuego keyword, and having at least one stack of En Fuego makes these cards more powerful and grants additional effects when played.
“If you can maximize Deadpool’s En Fuego bonus, he becomes a ‘one-man delete key’ to his opponents,” says Jake. “Watch him draw a ridiculous amount of cards, shoot five enemies, and completely destroy the biggest and worst enemies on the map. All in one turn.”
Deadpool’s En Fuego meter increases by using Ability Cards to KO enemies, giving him an extra stack of En Fuego after getting many KOs. However, Deadpool loses stacks of En Fuego every time he takes damage. So Deadpool’s innate ability to self-regenerate a percentage of his health each turn means he doesn’t need a babysitter, but he does, like Captain Marvel and Captain America, by taunting his enemies. Teaming up with a tanky hero who can keep away from output will help maximize his damage output.
Eating at Deadpool’s food truck helps you stay Normal alive
When Deadpool joins the Midnight Sons, the team’s secret Abbey base is upgraded to house his fancy food truck in a spot by the pool. The truck, adorned with colorful photos of the man himself astride a bearded unicorn, advertises “the best Turdakken in the world,” but actually offers something much more useful, if not as delicious. It offers.
“With Deadpool’s Food Truck Upgrade, once per encounter, you can discard a card from your hand to gain a move,” explains Jake. “This is a huge boon for placing and using the environment during tactical missions, and Deadpool doesn’t have to be on missions for the team to use it!”
Additionally, upgrading your food truck gives you thrust and movement when discarding cards, allowing you to push your enemies back into danger while pushing your heroes back.
Deadpool has more than violence and cooking
Like other Midnight Suns heroes, Deadpool can be found lounging in and around Abbey between missions. Know that Deadpool simply doesn’t “like” hangout activities due to his erratic and unpredictable nature. He either “likes” or “hates” whatever way you spend your time together!
Do you think Deadpool is someone who enjoys playing video games? Or do you think he likes lounging by the pool? Watching movies or birdwatching? By inviting him to activities he enjoys and maxing out your friendship level with him, you can unlock his legendary Midnight Sun ability and suit.
Deadpool’s arrival at the monastery also gave him the chance to do some additional research with Tony Stark and Doctor Strange in the monastery’s forge. Deadpool pitched the idea of ”essentially an energy drink paired with a portable defibrillator.” This will appear as a new Effort His Maximizer Combat Item that can be taken into tactical missions once research is complete. This Legendary rarity item has the power to duplicate the selected hero’s entire hand and discard all other heroes’ cards.
