1980s horror movies have made a comeback to video games in the last few years. From Michael Myers and Freddy Krueger in Dead by Daylight, to Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th: The Game, to Ash Williams in Evil Dead: The Game, enough of the multiplayer horror formula and his memorable 1980s slasher flick It seems that you can’t combine .
Another ’80s nightmare is throwing a multicolored horror wig into the ring. A cult horror-comedy classic, Killer Klowns from Outer Space will be his 3 vs. 7 asymmetric horror game from Friday the 13th: The Game executives Randy Greenback, his director, and developer Teravision Games. In KKFOS: TG, a team of three clown players hunts his seven citizens, gathering weapons and equipment to repel a goofy invasion.
If you’re not familiar with the movie, the clowns were aliens (who look like disturbing rubber clown dolls) who came to Earth in circatent-type spaceships, invaded the small town of Crescent Cove, and silly Killed nasty teens and skeptical youth…adults and stupid drinking their blood with straws. Created by three special effects artists, the Chiodo Brothers, the infamous low-budget film never spawned a sequel, but remains a beloved C-list classic and was restored in 2018. There was even a special edition of his Blu-Ray release.
It’s really interesting to see the different powers of the crown translated in the game. cast dinosaur-shaped shadow puppets on walls, and even use dinosaur corpses to come back to life and eat people. and occasionally viciously beat bikers in the old-fashioned way, causing their heads to splatter and fall into the trash can. Their only weakness seemed to be a round red nose that you had to shoot to kill them.
