Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden were introduced to Xbox Game Pass in January, confirming the ports will work natively on the Xbox Series X|S instead of relying on backwards compatibility.
Earlier this week, developer and publisher Atlus announced that Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden will join Xbox Game Pass in January, when the ports launch on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC. did. Well, according to SotomatsuAtlus confirmed that both games will run natively on Xbox Series X|S consoles.

“Finally got a response on this,” Gematsu tweeted. “The Xbox Series version of P4G/P3P is native!” In response to this Gematsu said he asked Atlus “Is the Xbox Series version native or simply playable through backwards compatibility?” Related to a previous tweet. Note that there’s no mention of the PlayStation 5 in the question, so this doesn’t confirm that the current-gen port isn’t going to that console either. There’s still quite a bit of time to go, and the PS5 announcement could still be on its way.
If you’re ready to experience the goodness of Persona this time of year in 2023, Persona 5 Royal arrives on Game Pass on October 21st and includes all DLC packs. Atlus has previously confirmed via recent gameplay videos that the game will run at 60fps on the Xbox Series X|S.
