Wondering which class to play in Lost Ark? At first glance, it may seem like you don’t have much choice, but each main class has multiple subclasses. Each of these is based on that class’s specific fighting style, but actually offers enough variety to make it its own class.
As with any MMO, choosing a class can be overwhelming when there are so many to choose from. I hope it makes things a little easier for you by categorizing your classes so you can find the ones you enjoy the most.
This guide is intended to help you narrow things down, as you’ll have a chance to try each subclass before making a decision.
Warrior (Melee)
Warriors of Lost Ark are exactly what you would expect. They are generally tanky hard hitters without much mobility.
Berserker (Male)
Despite wielding a greatsword as a weapon, the Berserker has relatively quick attack animations and decent defenses. He can buff himself and the party to deal massive damage and gain increased movement speed during these burst windows.
Paladin (male)
Paladins are primarily a support class with the ability to shield and buff themselves and party members. However, this doesn’t mean he can’t deal damage, he has decent defenses that help him stay alive.
Gunlancer (male)
A true tank, the Gunlancer absorbs damage and protects party members. He can protect himself and his allies, and draw enemies towards him – think of Death Knight’s ability in WoW, which makes up for his lack of mobility.
Destroyer (male)
Slow and tanky Destroyer wields a hammer and can control gravity. He specializes in burst damage, building it with his concentration skill and dishing it out with his gravity release skill.
Martial Artist (Melee)
Martial artists typically use different types of handguns to damage their opponents. Both attack speed and mobility work to your advantage, allowing you to move quickly on the battlefield.
striker (male)
Strikers are good at quick attacks and aerial combos. Some skills knock enemies high into the air or launch themselves, inflicting pain on them from above. The Striker is a great choice if you want lightning-fast close-quarters combat.
Wardancer (female)
Wardancers are similar to strikers. She relies on her quick skills and her high mobility, and can charge her attacks or store her elemental power to blow her enemies away and deal massive damage.
Scrapper (female)
Scrapper has a similar playstyle to Striker and Wardancer, but utilizing this subclass relies on two conflicting resources that must be balanced. He is never short of a single resource at a crucial moment, as he has to alternate between two types of attacks.
Soul Fist (female)
Soul Fists are a bit different than other martial arts subclasses as they use a mix of melee and ranged attacks. She can combine her own skills to create her powerful combos and release special energies to further enhance her own abilities or aid her in the heat of battle. increase.
Greyvier (female)
Graivier’s unique playstyle requires you to switch between stances and weapons to gain powerful buffs. Glaives provide plenty of crowd control by launching enemies into the air or slamming them to the ground.
Gunner (long range)
Gunners use guns and bows to kill enemies from a distance. Each subclass specializes in a particular ranged playstyle.
Gunslinger (female)
The Gunslinger is a mobile class that can quickly switch weapons to suit the combat range and situation. Her three types of guns have different degrees of damage and usefulness, so knowing when to switch is essential to success.
artillery (male)
Artillerist is the least mobile of the Gunner subclasses, but makes up for it with resilience. His gigantic gun deals considerable damage to hordes of enemies, and certain skills deal with enemies for short periods of time by launching them into the air or summoning barrages.
dead eye (male)
The Deadeye subclass has a similar playstyle to the Gunslinger. He relies on switching between three different weapon types to adapt to different situations, and his high mobility and quick playstyle make him look flashy on the battlefield.
sniper (male)
The Sharpshooter excels at long range damage and has the longest range of any Gunner subclass. Some skills provide a stealth effect and can blow enemies away if they get too close for comfort. The range of most sharpshooter skills means that immediate threats won’t hurt you like close quarter fighters.
machinist (male)
Want to be Iron Man? Machinist is for you. His specialty is deploying DPS using drones, submachine guns, and particle accelerators, and activating Hypersink Mode for protection and even more damage.
Mage (long range)
Mages are Arcesia’s primary spell slingers. Depending on your chosen subclass, you can use your magical abilities to deal damage or heal allies.
Bard (female)
Bard is Lost Ark’s true support class. Her lack of defense and mobility is compensated for by the healing, shields, and buffs she brings. It’s not that she can’t deal damage, but her low attack power doesn’t compare to other more concentrated damage her classes.
sorceress (female)
Sorceresses have a classic mage playstyle. The three different elements are primarily used for area of effect damage and are used as large bursts or sustained damage. Ice attacks slow down enemies, allowing you to line up bigger hits with more powerful spells.
Arcanist (female)
A mobile and fragile Arcanist is a glass cannon. Her deck of magical playing cards can be drawn for random effects. Alternatively, you can rely on the Doom skill for extra damage. If the Machinist is Iron Man, the Arcanist is another Marvel her hero, Gambit.
Assassin (Melee)
Both Assassin subclasses are melee fighters who use dark powers to transform or take out enemies with swift sword attacks.
Shadowhunter (female)
Shadowhunters use Twin Glaive to damage enemies and transform into a powerful demonic form, increasing health and movement speed for the duration. On paper he may resemble WoW’s Demon He Hunter, but his playstyle is quite different.
Death Blade (female)
Deathblade uses multiple blades to perform quick combo attacks and works best when placed behind an enemy. Her high mobility makes it easy to move around the battlefield and prepare for back attacks, but she is a subclass that is harder to master than it looks.
