Warner Bros. has released the PC specs for Gotham Knights, revealing fairly stringent system requirements for the upcoming DC action game.
Gotham Knights steam page It has been shown that users will need at least a GeForce RTX 2070 graphics card to play at high settings of 60fps, but only at 1080p resolution. That graphics setup also requires an Intel i7-10700K or Ryzen 5 5600X equivalent or better CPU and 16GB of RAM. This is a very high demand for 1080p.
Gotham Knights’ minimum requirements were also shared, requiring users to have a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 590 to run the game on low settings (but still at 60fps and 1080p). You’ll also need an Intel Core i5-9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 equivalent CPU and 8 GB of RAM.
Warner Bros. hasn’t revealed system requirements for players looking to go beyond 1080p or 60fps, but we’ll find out soon as Gotham Knights launches on October 21st. However, based on the specs required for 1080p, players will need Nvida RTX 30-series cards or AMD equivalents at 1440p or higher, and probably don’t even need low-end cards.
The announcement comes after Warner Bros. announced that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions of Gotham Knights will be capped at 30 fps and no performance mode will be available.
Gotham Knights Executive Producer said: Fleur “Flaoua” Marty at the time. “Because of this, our game doesn’t have a performance/quality toggle option, and on consoles he runs at 30 fps.”
So the technical configuration of Gotham Knights is simply so power intensive that it has a cap of 30 fps on consoles and seems to require fairly high-end spec requirements on PC.
In the game’s final preview, IGN said: [we] I left hands-on time unimpressed with many aspects of combat. [we] still found [ourselves] Interested in playing more. ”
