With Warzone 2.0 set to launch next week, Infinity Ward and Activision have finally confirmed exactly what will happen Call of Duty: Warzone, being offline for a few days, then restarting with a new Caldera name. The downtime is to allow Raven Software to focus all resources on the launch of Warzone 2.0.
When will Call of Duty: Warzone go offline?
The Warzone server will go down on November 16th around 8am. This is the same time that Call of Duty: Vanguard Season 5 will end. A few hours later, Warzone 2.0 launches, but the original battle royale experience remains offline for some time. Warzone will relaunch as Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera on November 28th at approximately 10am PT. That means the game will be offline for his 12 days.
After rebooting, Warzone Caldera will be a completely separate experience from Warzone 2.0. Players will be faced with a “standard battle royale playlist” with a few changes:
- Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep have been removed from the game
- Warzone Caldera has no in-game store
- Players will still have access to player progress, mutual XP and weapon XP progress, inventory, battle pass content, weapons, store bundles, and other purchases from Modern Warfare, Warzone, Black Ops Cold War, and Vanguard. increase. They are not available in Warzone 2.0.
- Players will no longer have access to Modern Warfare II or Warzone 2.0 content.
- We have 2XP and 2WXP tokens, but they are not transferable to Warzone 2.0.
Those who wish to move to Warzone 2.0 instead will be “gifted with some items to use”, although not specified.
