Every new Battlefield game messes up classes in some way. Battlefield 3’s heresy was to get rid of the Medic and give the Assault class a defibrillator. Perhaps Battlefield fans are principled anti-individualists, or maybe they just like the old days. In any case, DICE allows. I’m on my way home from class.
A rework of Battlefield 2042’s class system was announced not long ago as part of DICE’s now-year-long “We Are Hearing You” quest to redesign the 128-player FPS in response to player criticism. We have decided to roll back the biggest changes that have been made. series.

Previously, Battlefield class weapon selection was also limited. A sniper rifle for reconnaissance, his LMG for support, his SMG (or rifle in Battlefield 1) for the Medic, and an assault rifle for assault. Battlefield 2042 does not restrict weapon selection by class. DICE says it is a decision that cannot be reversed. However, we plan to give bonuses to classes that use certain weapons. For example, Recon Specialists automatically hold their breath longer when aiming the scope of a Sniper Rifle.
My gut feeling is that if they’re going to do so, they should drastically limit their weapon selection by class, but let’s see how that goes. Latest Battlefield 2042 “Core Feedback” Post We will go into detail about the system and why DICE made the decisions.

I’d rather be stupid than win. DICE also confirmed today that Battlefield 2042’s fourth season is underway and will begin next year.
