Hello, I’m Rupert, Game Director of Saga of Sins. Me and my team at Bonus Level Entertainment are very excited and grateful to announce three.rd New game playable creatures of the day.
Before we get to that, let me give you a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Saga of Sins.
Worth it. make something of value. Something fresh and worth your time, the most precious thing you, the player, can give us. This is our job as (indie) developers.
Thus was born the idea of a new subgenre: Story Arcade!
It combines a meaningful story of inner conflict, twists and turns, and multiple endings with challenging arcade-style gameplay. A fresh take on RPG elements, secrets, collections and progressions come to life via a stained glass art style that fits the game’s setting, further wrapping up the experience. A game inspired by the paintings of Hieronymus Bosch (1450-1516) that I admired since I was a child.
In Saga of Sins, you play as Cecil, the righteous cleric. Cecil enters people’s minds by transforming into his four unique demonic creatures, including a roaring werewolf and a ferocious gargoyle, to fight the seven deadly sins and free him. The plague-infested village of Shinwell.
All creatures have individual skills and shot types that can be upgraded and can be switched on the fly once unlocked. What they all have in common is a devastating power dash.
Finally, 3rd Today’s demonic creature is a mighty Griffin!
This ancient demon stands for loyalty and trust, but is even more ruthless when it spots sinners with its keen eye. That if this demonic creature didn’t covet a human liver, our humble hero Cecil would have to transform into one when he entered the minds of the 31 villagers of Shinwell. would not have felt so bad.
Sinful Hearts is action levels and boss battles themed around one of the seven deadly sins: anger, laziness, envy, lust, greed, pride, and gluttony.
Innocent Minds, on the other hand, offers a variety of puzzles, riddles, or skill tests to spice up the whole experience. It might even turn things upside down a bit…
The Griffin Weapon is a spread shot that can be upgraded by donating gold to the Madonna Statue around the game’s hub area of Shinwell, similar to Gargoyle’s Breath of Fire and Werewolf’s Triple Shot.
Spread Shot can power up two to up to four projectiles at once, making Griffin extremely powerful in combat. So be sure to loot as many treasure chests as he has seven per level, some well-hidden, and perform power dashes against multiple enemies at once. This causes enemies to drop twice as much gold as him!
The biggest advantage, though, is clinging to the mighty Griffin Wall. Only he can climb special ivy-covered walls to reach new heights, discover secrets, and outwit his enemies.
Of course, all demonic creatures have their own unique abilities. The Werewolf’s Roar of Revelation shatters cracked glass to discover hidden chests, and the Flame of the Gargoyle. His breath sets certain objects on fire to clear paths and solve riddles. I can.
A clergyman who enters people’s hearts in the form of a monster. Does this sound humble?
Is Cecil doing the right thing, or is he just following orders like he once left the village on a Crusade? But more and more disturbing things are starting to happen. Is Cecil simply losing his faith or is he losing his mind?
I hope you get a little excited today and uncover the truth yourself, putting all your heart and passion into creating Saga of Sins. I would appreciate it if you could lend me your time to play.
Saga of Sins is available digitally on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 and supports English (VO), French, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch, Latin American Spanish and Portuguese.
