In our upcoming Game Pass 2022 recap, keep an eye out for July when games like Far Cry 5, Watch_Dogs 2, and Inside join the roster of titles already stacked in the Game Pass library.
July brought a slew of titles to Game Pass and some rivalry for the best games on the Game Pass list. A total of 18 games entered the service. This includes two big Ubisoft games, some indie darlings, a simulator about power washing, and the most annoying pig game the world has ever seen. We also saw three games return to service after a brief hiatus. Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 are all back on Game Pass to the delight of many with incomplete achievement lists.

Puzzle game Escape Academy brought something a little unique to Game Pass in July. Aimed at recreating physical escape rooms in virtual space, the Escape Academy features over 10 rooms designed by real-life escape room experts to play alone or with friends. I can do it. The first of two big Ubisoft titles to enter Game Pass in July, Far Cry 5 saw players travel to Hope County to defeat the doomsday cult Eden’s Gate and its charismatic leader Joseph Seed. did. The inside needs no introduction at all. One of his best action-adventure puzzle games, Playdead’s Inside was a huge win for Game Pass subscribers who had yet to experience this dark, story-driven game. In Limbo’s successor, Inside, you control a boy trapped in a dystopian world. While trying to avoid various things in this world that won’t hesitate to kill you, you’ll need to progress through the story and solve environmental puzzles to progress further. If so, give it a try. It’s a relatively short game with a simple list of achievements if you follow the guide.

Watch Dogs 2
Ubisoft’s second major title to enter Game Pass in July was Watch_Dogs 2, the best Watch Dogs game. Set in the sunny San Francisco Bay Area, you play as Marcus Holloway, a young hacker working with hacker group Deadsec to take down his operating system. It’s about monitoring and manipulating people across the city. Watch_Dogs and Watch Dogs: Legion are great games, but Watch_Dogs 2 surpasses both thanks to its engaging story, interesting characters, and very good setting. Tonally, Watch_Dogs 2 is a lighter, less tough hang compared to the first game’s brooding Chicago or Legion’s oppressive London. other games.

Another somewhat unique addition was As Dusk Falls, which entered Game Pass in July. Developed by Interior/Night and published by Xbox Game Studios, As Dusk Falls is billed as an “interactive drama” that tells the story of two families whose lives become intertwined when a heist in small town Arizona goes awry. Spanning the span of 30 years, the story is captivating and filled with tense pivotal moments that make you want to hold onto your seat as you struggle in your head over which choices to make. The story is the highlight, but the excellent rotoscoping animation style and excellent voice acting from the likes of Jane Perry and Ryan Holt sell the experience.

As Dusk Falls is an original INTERIOR/NIGHT interactive drama that explores the intertwined lives of two families over 30 years. Beginning with a robbery in a small town in Arizona in 1998, your choices will have a profound impact on the lives of your characters in this uncompromising tale of betrayal, sacrifice and recovery. Torment: Tides of Numenera
InXile Entertainment’s story-rich isometric RPG Torment: Tides of Numenera also joined Game Pass in July. The thematic successor to one of the best RPGs, Planescape: Torment, Torment: Tides of Numenera, with a rather wild story exploring Earth a billion years in the future, with many civilizations rising and falling over time and left strange relics. If you’re looking for a deep RPG with an epic story, interesting companions, and choices that really mean something, give this game a try.
