For a general plot of Primal Outpost — I mean, living with the wilderness instead of conquering it sounds familiar, but it was 100% intentional. Play the game with Jaeger Crade (Dennis Quaid). Two older men are more interested in defending their fortress from the environment than they are at attacking creatures and understanding the environment. Cue Ethan moaning and trying in vain to get them to the point.
