The latest in a long line of free next-gen upgrades, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order plays pretty straight. The native PS5 version of the experience is more or less playable via backwards compatibility, with a few extra features. The most obvious change is the resolution of the game. It now runs at native 4K with upgraded textures, but only 30 frames per second. The 60 frames per second mode is associated with 1440p resolution. This is a slight improvement from his 1200p added in the patch. A few months ago.
The only other significant change is load times. This is greatly improved. Previously, loading times could reach astronomical lengths and completely stop the flow of gameplay. The next-gen version is worth it alone, especially considering it’s a free upgrade. It’s a sword. Fallen Order is a pretty good game, but simply Despite being the best product from the EA/Disney Star Wars partnership, the game is as jerky as ever.
On PS4, this release took a do-it-you-do-it-no-eyes approach, and that’s still true today. Each positive is balanced by a negative. The main antagonist is formidable but underutilized. The game is eye-opening, but frame hitches are common, especially with his 4K option.Combat is exhilarating, but leaves the jumping and sliding puzzles a lot to be desired. The end result is a decent, recommendable experience in almost every way. But no matter how good Fallen Order was, it’s not hard to look back and find a better Star Wars experience. .
