The core gameplay once you find something that works, even if you find the weapon balance and basic fun to be unbalanced lonely ruins I’m grabbing Learning how to move constantly while attacking is a must, as you can often die easily in the game, and learning when to use evasion and other abilities will make you a pro.
As with any roguelike game these days, Hades, to choose from several doorways when exiting the area. Every doorway has a different symbol. After playing for a while you start to learn what all of this means, but you can get rooms that increase your health, upgrade your weapons, or house a handful of enemies to deal with and eliminate. To reiterate what I said in the paragraph, currency doesn’t carry over between runs, you can’t upgrade any part of your character, and there’s no way to permanently upgrade weapon damage or abilities. You can enter the room. Alternatively, you can upgrade the skills you have, such as allowing you to dash at a faster speed.
Outside of the main ‘Story Mode’ where you can play on ‘Easy’ difficulty if you want (I’m glad it’s included), there’s a Survival Room that has quickly become my preferred method of gameplay As you can hear, enter the room and fight the enemy for as long as possible.
