In The Sims 4, just like in real life, it’s hard to find time between climbing the corporate ladder and doing household chores. It’s especially difficult when you mix the two time sinks of washing and hovering. You will understand that you need to get your hands on it quickly.
I was playing the Discover University DLC. I’ve just worked my way through a strenuous education system into a mediocre tech job. I had some spare cash, so I hired a butler to take care of my family while I pursued some fun hobbies. I thought I would live a luxurious life from now on.
But having witnessed a butler putting a toddler in a high chair, then taking him out, and then putting him back in 17 times in a row, I now consider the butler in The Sims 4 to be just as useful as a left-handed driver. Also expensive. So I decided to seek another kind of help. Something I could create myself — give me a mad scientist laugh.
The Sims 4 Discover University pack has the option to create a robot called Servo. I thought this was a great idea. A fully programmable friend helps me around the house. your sim. The perfect AI friend that never fails.
The first step was to bring my robotics skills to level 8. The trick to speeding up the process is to craft a mechanism (x18) and a computer chip (x12) once you reach level 2. This allows them to be used later to build servos. Each of these requires 3 robot parts and a computer[アップグレード パーツの購入]can be purchased at
Then there was no way to manually enter the order, and the mindless clicking fiasco happened when I filled my online cart with plumbing upgrade parts and the rest of the components.
- Electronic upgrade parts (x10)
- Common Upgrade Parts (x15)
- Kitchen reinforcement parts (x5)
- Piping Upgrade Parts (x2)
- Robot Recovery Parts (x75)
All the strain on the clicking fingers was worth it when Servo finally came to life and greeted me with hilarious trills and gyrations of his shiny torso.
And if you thought the “AI friend that went wrong” part was Chekhov’s gun, you’re right. What I didn’t realize when creating Servo was that not only could he flirt with electronics around a Sim’s house, but he could also give a Sim a baby.
Yep, it turns out that servos can woohu, and babies come out like humans…that’s what the plumbing upgrade parts were for.
