Our point is that mashing the two into an opera would have to be pretty creative, but that’s exactly what the LA-based Pacific Opera Project has done with its revival of Mozart’s opera. am. magic flute — or as they call it, #super flute.
POP is a group that seeks to provide “accessible, affordable, entertaining, high-quality opera”, and as part of that aim they’ve done a mashup before — Mozart and Star Trek, Mozart and Scarfaceflat Mozart and COVIDThe last time they performed was in 2019, they performed a Nintendo-esque Magic Flute featuring characters like Mega Man, Donkey Kong, Wario, Zelda, and Kid Icarus’ Pit.

“[The theme] Because there is Tamino in the magic flute, going on a quest and trying to find his princess Pamina. It’s just Zelda and Link. “
