An on-screen Easter egg near the end of Hi-Fi Rush could be teasing The Evil Within 3.
As reported by game radar, The screen in this issue plays before Track 11: The Needle Drop and appears for less than a second during the cinematic that takes place inside the elevator. You can see the screen in the image below. YouTuber Shirako At the bottom, it says, “The sequel to the popular survival-horror game series has been announced.”
This could be a fun nod to the evil within rather than an announcement tease, as there are other Easter eggs in the Hi-Fi Rush franchise, including robots that look like Sebastian Castellanos and Joseph Oda. There is.
Uncharted 3 did something similar when it included a newspaper that made fun of The Last of Us. That particular Easter egg wasn’t really meant to be in the final game, so it’ll be interesting to see the true story behind this game.
Tango Gameworks released The Evil Within 2 in 2017 and said in our review: My heart stuck in my throat for sticking to the most important survival horror rule.
It could be time for a new entry into The Evil Within franchise, which will continue Tango Gameworks’ momentum after taking the world by storm with Hi-Fi Rush’s Shadow Drop.
For more, check out our Hi-Fi Rush review and interview with the game’s director (who actually directed The Evil Within 2).
