After allegations were filed against publisher PQube last year, Corecell Technology has confirmed that it is the sole publisher “across all platforms” of its game AeternoBlade II.
AeternoBlade II developer Corecell last year accused publisher PQube of withholding payments, and also claimed that PQube would not hand back publishing control on console platforms to developers. An update from Corecell confirmed that the company is “the sole publisher of his AeternoBlade II on all platforms.”
Corecell confirms it has publishing control of AeternoBlade II’s console platform in Europe.
“We are pleased to announce that we have acquired publishing control from PQube on the European AeternoBlade II console platforms (Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One).” Coresell says“Currently, Corecell Technology is the sole publisher of AeternoBlade II across all platforms.”
Corecell’s charges against PQube surfaced towards the end of last year, followed by a statement from PQube that, for several years, the publisher tried to “return the rights to Corecell in line with their demands,” but its “numerous proposals and the support contract…was not accepted by Corecell”, “Despite all the challenges and lack of communication from Corecell, PQube gave Corecell the rights to the console version well before the end of the contract period. I have returned it.” Corecell responded, claim Despite allegations in PQube’s statement, “PQube has not yet paid us the agreed amounts. We have not received any revenue from PQube sales in our EU store. PQube has not given us control over its publication in the EU.” It all happened in September last year and Corecell’s latest statement was that “Corecell Technology is now the sole issuer of AeternoBlade II across all platforms,” thus resolving issue control issues.
