Heidi — The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Expansion Pass
We know The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has already generated a lot of buzz, especially with last year’s Xbox Series X|S update, but The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Expansion Pass is still the best pick for this sale. is one of Eight years after The Witcher 3 launched, his Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions still hold up as great examples of DLC excellence. Seriously, I know Hearts of Stone is great too, but Blood and Wine in particular is incredible — a whole new realm of Toussaint that’s huge in its own right, plus a new main story, all the side quests, and a lot of interesting stuff. A certain point, and the general adventure potential to be expected from exploring such a huge new area. Toussaint is a very complex land and probably my favorite area in The Witcher 3. Packed with content and new characters. Once you’ve grown tired of Beauclair, you can return your attention to the all-encompassing game. Gwent with the new Skellige deck. Plus you can build your own little vineyard yourself!
But before spending the rest of your time relaxing in Toussaint, experience Hearts of Stone as well. A new story revolves around the intriguing character of Oljaed von Everek, not to mention the charming Master Mirror. Hearts of Stone claims to offer over 10 hours of content, but given The Witcher 3’s penchant for harsh and gnashing choices, you’ll likely be playing for much longer. The 30% discount on the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Expansion Pass looks pretty good.

Luke — Exit the Gungeon
I’ve been meaning to return to the Gungeon for many years, so when I saw this price was 50% off, it seemed like the perfect time to jump in. I can’t be surprised how much you’re enjoying Exit the Gungeon so far. While retaining many of the enemy attack patterns and familiar power-ups from Enter the Gungeon, it offers a very clever twist on the original by switching to a side-scrolling perspective, which leaves returning fans in chaos. You can immediately read the action you took. Reacting to it is another matter. The game’s first counterintuitive decision means jumping, dropping, and generally counting airtime as dodge-rolling, so you’ll often find yourself jumping around it rather than making your way through the middle of the chaos of barrage hell. is trying to incorporate Everything should fall into place after a few runs, and it’s ridiculously strong. That’s part of why it feels so much easier than going in — the system clicked nice and fast, so I got my first clear on my third try, followed by two more exits, all master rounds bans the last one and my first Glocktopus kill sits all at once.
Another important factor that makes this approachable is that there is far less luck involved in running. With default settings, your gun automatically changes to another every 10 seconds, increasing your chances of getting something from the higher tiers of your loot pool and improving your combo meter (read: attack Don’t take it, get a better gun). Ran doesn’t die when he finds Klobbe. You only have to endure that awfulness for a very short time before it magically transforms into something new and actually starts doing damage again. A mod close to the mod has been added, but I haven’t tried it yet. It’s fair to say that Exit the Gungeon’s achievements are also considerably easier than the first game’s list. I grabbed his third of them in the evening, but the estimates are less than half what they were in the previous game, plus I don’t see much on the list so far to worry about.
Exit the Gungeon
Exit the Gungeon is a small spin-off ‘dungeon climber’ right after the adventures of the Misfitting Gungeoners.
Sean — carrion
If you missed Carrion when it was on Game Pass, now is the time to get it. The excellent Metroidvania is on sale this week for just $7.99/£6.69/€7.99. In Carrion, instead of playing as a Marine hunting down aliens/monsters, you become a monster and seek revenge on those who kept you imprisoned. Beginning as a weak, amorphous mass, you must make your way through the facility in which you are trapped, wading through vents and dark corridors in search of an exit. Eating humans is delightfully brutal, with large amounts of blood and body parts littering the environment. It also helps increase size and allows you to reach new areas. What I really enjoyed about Carrion was the way the creatures moved. Its long tendrils quickly and quietly pull you toward its next unsuspecting victim, happily pulling its head away with a crunch. If you’re looking for a fairly inventive short game (which takes about eight hours to complete), then You can’t go wrong with his Carrion this week.

CARRION is a reverse horror game in which you assume the role of an amorphous creature of unknown origin.
Tom — just die
Yes, I have defended this before. Yes, I know I’m not a GOAT. Yes I am defending it again. Just Die Already holds a special place in my heart because it was one of the first games I reviewed when I started working at TA, but it’s a very, very cool game that requires no brain activity at all. It’s also a fun game. Log out knowing you may have overloaded, physically harmed the elderly, and traumatized that poor digital OAP for 10 minutes of laughter. In a world dominated by games like Call of Duty and Elden Ring, sometimes it’s nice to turn off and pretend to be a little goofy. Just Die Already is also small in install size, so if you just want it as an occasional game, you won’t need much. I think. Xbox Series S, £250. Just Die Already, £5. Blowing off grandpa’s arm with fireworks… priceless!
Just Die Ally
Just Die Already is an old man mayhem sandbox game created by the designers of Goat Simulator. You are old and angry and have just been kicked out of a nursing home. How do you survive in a world that just wants you dead?
