Bloober Team has announced that Layers of Fear, an Unreal Engine 5-based horror bundle, is coming to Xbox Series X|S in June. Also, the name “Layers of Fears” seems to have been deprecated.
For some reason, instead of using the originally announced Layers of Fears name for the upcoming remastered Nightmare bundle, Bloober Team chose to use the first game’s title, Layers of Fear. It looks like they’ve made a choice. The developers aren’t sure about the name, but know that it’s coming to Xbox Series X|S in June.
Layers of Fear trailer reveals more than release window
The Layer of Fear pack from the original game of the same name is considered one of the best Xbox horror games. In addition to that, the bundle also includes new content in the form of The Final Note DLC, which is said to “tie it all together”. According to the game’s Steam page, this new content will explore Painter’s backstory, explore stories told by his wife, and even “change the way you look at the first game’s characters and their actions.”
Bloober Team has remastered all content from the original game using Unreal Engine 5, offering 4K visuals, ray tracing and HDR support when it releases on Xbox Series X|S in June.
