Fractal, the first big update of 2023, goes live today, adding the new Utopia Expedition, Wonders Catalogue, and more.
No Man’s Sky (which made it to our list of all Game Pass games with crappy achievements) has a new update, including a new Expedition and more. Check out the update trailer below.
No Man’s Sky’s Fractal Update is now live
A big part of this update is the Utopia Expedition. “Bakkin’s once fertile system has fallen into decline. Trade routes have stopped, space stations abandoned, decayed, intelligent life gone.” hello game says“Anomalous solar activity is preventing the creation of items beyond the planetary base’s shelters. Thankfully for everyone’s sake, the generous Utopia Foundation is coordinating a massive rebuilding project.” Join the Co-Habitation Team, the Settlers, and help make Buckin beautiful and productive again!” Expedition rewards include the Utopia Speeder Starship and the Terrifying Visor.
The Wonders Catalog is also available as a new tool. “This shows you your most amazing discoveries, from the tallest mountains to the strangest creatures.” To tell Hello Games founder Sean Murray said: “This detailed record of your journey not only allows you to easily compare your records with fellow travelers, it also gives explorers new goals to find and document the most unusual sights in the universe. Murray said other key pieces of the update include a reworked options menu, more accessibility features, and more quality of life improvements.
“2022 was a very productive year for No Man’s Sky, with major free updates like Sentinel, Outlaws, Leviathan, Endurance and Waypoint, plus a series of expeditions,” concludes Murray. “We have an even bigger year planned for 2023, and Fractal is just the starting point.”
