The Forest Cathedral is set to bring its blend of first-person psychological thriller gameplay and puzzles to Xbox next week, and the result is now available for an exclusive reveal, courtesy of Whitethorn Games.
Born from the brain of Where the Bees Make Honey developer Brian Wilson, The Forest Cathedral is a dramatic recreation of conservationist Rachel Carson’s work on the DDT pesticide. A first-person psychological thriller that implements 2D and 3D connected puzzles in a forest environment and seeks to uncover the effects of DDT. Thanks to her folks at her publisher, Whitethorn Games, we’ll be able to reveal The Forest Cathedral’s achievements exclusively ahead of her Xbox Series X|S launch on March 14th.
The Cathedral of the Forest is a retelling of Rachel Carson’s 1962 book, Silent Springs, which played a key role in banning pesticides, including DDT, and inspired the movement leading to the creation of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Carson was awarded the Medal of Freedom by President Jimmy Carter for his contributions.

All 10 achievements must be earned to add the full 1,000 gamerscore to your tag. We especially liked that Wilson used his DDT full name “Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane” as his proven name. Extra points if you can pronounce it! It’s a pretty diverse list that lets you explore the events of Carson’s Silent Springs book, from spraying DDT in swamps to telling the world about the harmful effects of pesticides. Restoring Mr. Valve’s power also looks interesting, so I’m looking forward to learning about it. I don’t know if it gets complicated.
