In perhaps the only situation where the phrase “bug pile” excites you, Intercept Games has released the first big patch for Kerbal Space Program 2. (opens in new tab)Of course, it’s a situation with “fixed” in front of “bug pile”.
what they did! A lot of them, actually. The 0.1.1.0 update contains a staggering 300 changes ranging from minor to major. The development team thanked the community for all the information they provided and gave the community credit for 42 specific bug fixes for which bug reports directly helped fix them.
One of the most important fixes was to solve the fuel flow and reduce the processing load by a factor of 3. Another fixed switching between modes for RAPIER’s air-breathing/vacuum engine. There are also a number of bugs with connections resolved and joint strength improvements so that the spaceship stays attached when it wants to and detaches properly when it says so.
And alas, the first big example of the Kraken drive in Kerbal Space Program 2 has been fixed. For those who don’t know, Kraken Drive is his nickname for the community of physics bugs that make ships fly like crazy. certainly one of them (opens in new tab)If you want that game to crash the game, just undo the save.
Additionally, it appears that one of the major bugs with loading save games within an existing campaign has been fixed. This was a big problem, at least for me.
You can read the full KSP2 v0.1.1.0 patch notes On the official forums of the Kerbal Space Program (opens in new tab)or a short announcement with steam (opens in new tab).
The size of the patch is very promising and could bode well (opens in new tab) After a long period of time between announcement and release, KSP2 frustrated fans with its shaky launch. (opens in new tab)All of these fixes exist but do not indicate unfinished or upcoming features (opens in new tab) Included in the code—these are just fixes.
Anyway, at least we have goofy KSP animations (opens in new tab) You can stay with us while we wait for the pet bug to be fixed.
