what is the premise?
Designer Kazu Ayabe my summer vacation Fame reigned freely to create gorgeous and nostalgic tributes to the long summers of childhood. Specifically, it’s a beautiful, light-hearted adventure set in rural Tokyo in the early ’70s.
You play as Sohto, a young boy who collects monster cards and spends his time exploring, collecting “Grimm”, playing card games with friends, solving light riddles, and discussing impending nominal attacks. .
why should you play it?
It’s a good-looking, low-pressure, exciting little adventure that either has some affection for kaiju culture, or has an affinity for the disarmed rural charm that’s been imbued in many Ghibli movies and games like Shin-chan. If you have nostalgia, it will give you a warm fuzzy: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation (another Millennium Kitchen joint).
Also, if you weren’t paying attention, it’s gone from sale in a matter of days and is exclusive to the 3DS platform!
