It’s April Fool’s Day today, but someone decided to get a head start last night by claiming to have unearthed information about: War God Ragnarok 2 – A sequel that was never announced.

This new rumor came from a YouTube video with a clickbait title suggesting players found cut/unused content in God of War Ragnarok. The content in question is a dialogue hinting at a sequel that takes the player to Egypt. One problem is that the voice lines are generated by AI.

As we previously reported, it’s unlikely Santa Monica Studios will make a God of War Ragnarok 2. The studio said he wanted to cover the Norse story in two games instead of three. And while we will continue to make God of War games, a direct sequel to Rangarok will never materialize.
However, some fans still hold out hope as they feel that Ragnarok’s ending leaves much to be desired.
Take all the rumors that come out on April 1 with countless grains of salt.
