The new Elden Ring mod has done a very good job of transforming the entire game into a first person experience. first person soul (opens in new tab)created by Dakeev, also comes with a trailer that doesn’t look out of place on the regular game show reel (Thanks PCGN (opens in new tab)), Lands Between and what the various enemies look like in a new perspective.
It’s amazing how much this changes the feel of the game. It’s particularly tickling, but what’s really impressive about Dakeev’s work is his commitment to making the point of view work.
This mod includes tweaked gameplay mechanics, new HUD elements to aid in combat, animated head tracking, and player movement changes, all configurable in the ini file and in-game. You can also switch between first-person and third-person views.
It should also be compatible with most Elden Ring mods, but as always it can’t be played online (unless you install it). Seamless co-op mod by LukeYui (opens in new tab)). The exception is of course mods that do something that spoils the perspective of the game which spoils this.
