My life changed forever when I got a copy of final fantasy VII In 1997 (losing those discs has haunted me ever since). I am enjoying much of 2020, remake, the original experience is irreplaceable and special to me. Every year we start a new playthrough at least once a year. It may also jump to a random save file I was working on at some point. Must be on something I own that can run it.
Since 2015, no remasters (no remake) made the experience smoother. It’s always fun to tinker with mods from time to time to tweak character models or apply AI upscaled backgrounds to clean up images.
With its story, characters, gorgeous composition and tear-jerking melodies, Landmark’s soundtrack pushes the limits of the rather monotonous sound produced by the PSX’s midi-controlled sequencer. It’s his one of my favorite media experiences.
