In just over two months, players will finally have their hands on the next mainline Final Fantasy series, Final Fantasy XVI. The game follows Clive Rosfield as he harnesses the mighty Akon to survive a tragic fate.
Today’s State of Play not only explores the intricate details of the story and lore of the world, but also gives us our first glimpse into the game’s party combat and colossal battles against the new Eikons.

Clive’s Hideout
Clive’s lair, which serves as his base camp throughout the game, was revealed in State of Play. Footage showed Clive preparing for his next battle by crafting items with collected materials and working on training mode.
Players can also complete various side quests and mob hunts. This will allow you to fight stronger enemies. Mob hunts can be accepted from the Hunt Board where you can find Moogle, a familiar face from the series!

Lawlessman Harpocrates and Vivian nine tales
Lawlessman Harpocrates appears in Clive’s hideout. He studies the history and customs of Valisea, studying the local climate, folklore, religion and traditions.
Harpocrates is very interested in the stories Clive brought back from his adventures. Harpocrates gains new knowledge as a researcher as Clive shares his past experiences. And the thousand books in which he records his knowledge will become more and more complete.

Vivien the Military Scholar is well versed in the affairs of the nations of Baristeia, lecturing Clive at various points in the story – you can also speak to her in the Hideout.
Vivian is very knowledgeable about the current Barristea and its history. She will be happy to share her past knowledge with you. With her help, you can explore the ever-changing details of character relationships and world affairs over a given period of time. Her knowledge will surely be of great help whenever you need to.
