Strategy is the key to victory in this 4v4 competitive platformer. There are strategic advantages throughout the game, from gameplay to hero roles, powers, and more.
To celebrate the launch of Crash Team Rumble’s closed beta, here are some tips and tricks to help your team win.
Boosts are stackable depending on the current map
- Gempads increase your score, but gigantic Increase your chances by capturing all gem pad clusters in one map.
- Pro tip: To fully benefit from the boost, collect and store as much Wumpa as you and your team can while the boost is active.
Fighting is just a means to an end.scoring is important
- The name of the game is scoring. So defense is just as important as offense.
- Winning is a much harder task without blockers. A blocker’s main goal is to prevent the other team from scoring on his Wumpa bank of his own. How can the team win if they can’t deposit Wumpa?!
- Pro tip: The Gasmoxian Guard is Blocker’s best friend. The blocker should set up a camp on the opposing team’s Wumpa his bank with the Gas Moxian guard and make it very difficult for the opposing team to score.
Relic stations decide the game
- If the game is close, Relic Station can make all the difference – roll over enemies, fly around the map, and more.
- Pro tip: Collect as many Relics as possible early on to use them in Epic Stations for game-changing results when they become more important later in the match.
use the whole map
- Don’t be afraid to explore and see what’s available in every corner of the map.
- Pro tip: Don’t forget to explore the map vertically. Check out the view from a higher vantage point. You may find new ways to help your team from a bird’s eye view.
Your Hero’s Power Matters
- Certain powers can take a role to the next level. Choose wisely. Some powers are meant to glorify heroes. Golden Wumpa for scorer, he Gasmoxian Guard for blocker and so on.
- Pro tip: Power placement makes all the difference and can be strategic.
