What began as a DLC for My Time at Portia became a larger project now known as My Time at Sandrock. Coming to his PlayStation for PS4 and PS5 this summer, players will explore the town of Sandrock, a city-state in the Eufaula Desert within the Free Cities Alliance. Returning players will be delighted with the fresh yet familiar experience, and newcomers will feel comfortable falling in love with the gameplay and people of Sandrock!
As players design their characters, they arrive in Sandrock as recruited builders. Upon arrival, they discover that what was once a heavily populated metropolis is now a run-down town lacking water and timber. The player’s job is to work with the townspeople to revitalize the town of Sandrock. Enjoy views of mesas, deep canyons, vast deserts and breathtaking ruins along the way!
Farming is just one of the many activities in Sandrock.
Players must complete story missions to progress My Time at Sandrock. Story missions require the player her character to build or rebuild what went wrong in town. Some examples are gathering materials to rebuild a water tower, or repairing a stage outside the Blue Moon Saloon after a sandstorm has passed. Once the story mission is completed, the player will have a few days of free time in-game. During this time, players can focus on completing commissions and earning money, building relationships with the townspeople, or simply exploring the world!
It’s perfectly fine to save sandrock with the help of the workshop
At the heart of Sandrock is the Workshop, the main hub for players. Here, players bring in materials and relics from across the map to help them complete requests from local townspeople and governments. As the player progresses and completes missions, they can upgrade machines in the workshop, customize the space with furniture, and even draw their own designs for decoration. It helps bring industry into town, which in turn helps your workshop become the best workshop in the region!
Players fight a Geegler President and a Geegler Manager
My Time at Sandrock’s combat system is fresh and much better this time around. Players will encounter different types of enemies, including monsters, robots, and bandits. Enemies act intelligently in coordinated attacks, requiring the player to anticipate enemy movements and successfully counterattack. Watch out for big enemies. Because it can blow the player away with a strong blow. Plan your attacks with melee weapons or choose a ranged approach.
Enemies can be found in the Perilous Ruins dungeon type, but there are two other dungeon types. One, known as the Abandoned Ruins, is an enemyless dungeon where players can safely mine minerals and relics. The third type is known as half-explored ruins and consists of mining areas and enemies to fight. As the player completes his story missions, dungeons are unlocked that can be used to earn large amounts of character EXP and high-value materials used to upgrade weapons and equipment.
Another cool feature of My Time at Sandrock is the ability for players to pursue romantic relationships with other characters in the game. Players can date, get married, have children, and take part in a series of detailed story missions for each character they want to fall in love with. A plot point is opened.
However, players must balance building and restoration objectives with the threat of constant attacks from the villainous Logan and his gang of bandits, which makes their job even harder. The game features a deep and compelling storyline with unexpected plot developments that will make players want to wait another day.
