Players can also use a variety of trading tools to gather resources on the open-world map and explore the long-forgotten and perilous ruins of the Old World to discover new dark secrets.
When not creating fancy gadgets, players can farm, raise animals, and build workshops. my time in sandrock has introduced various DIY elements to the sides of Homestead’s buildings for players who want a unique look.

Build relationships quickly!
Upon arriving in the town of Sandrock, the player will meet several townspeople who can befriend. Building these relationships takes time, so investing in them early in your playthrough is in your best interest. Each relationship you make has its own benefits! So take your time talking to each one and decide which citizens you want to start building friendships with.
Clear the pile of scrap!
When you step into the Eufaula Salvage Company Yard, you’ll find piles of scrap. Come here every day and clean up these scrap piles! These mountains contain data discs that can unlock new workbenches and machines. New workbenches come with new resources and new recipes for weapons!
Complete Daily Commissions!
Earn daily commissions during your stay at Sandrock. Completing these commissions is important, as they are the main source of Gol (Sandrock’s currency) and Workshop reputation. Increasing your Workshop Reputation allows you to rank higher on the Workshop Ranking Board and converts to additional Gol and Water at the end of each in-game month and year.
