Developer: Trickjump Games Ltd
Launch price: $18 | £12.29 | AUD $26.55
It’s hard to get blown away by cyberpunk stylings in this post-Cyberpunk 2077 world, but ArcRunner still looks gorgeous. I’m here. Your job is to kill thousands of robot soldiers to defeat this boss AI. There are three types of his characters, a tanky Soldier, an agile Ninja, and a hacker, each with their own primary melee weapon and special abilities. Levels are randomized, gear and power-ups galore, and best of all, ArcRunner supports online co-op.

Release: April 29th
Developer: Big City Lab
Launch price: $17 | £14.29 | AUD $24.95
It’s a strategy-oriented adventure game about survival or prosperity as a money launderer in a Mexican drug cartel. As you can imagine, this is a high-pressure task and one wrong move can lead to disastrous consequences, so every business decision has to pay twice as much (3 Double?) pressure is accompanied. Worse, the police and other emerging criminals have to worry. It’s a Tycoon game at heart, but it has strong narrative elements centered around diplomacy, tough decisions, and often tense negotiations.

Developer: Blue Sunset Games
Launch price: $17.09 |£13.04 |AU$24.25
Remember Skinny and Franco? I didn’t know it, but I did a Google search and it actually had his Amiga game from 1994. Franco (opens in new tab), this new side-scrolling action is based on this. Considered an Amiga Final Fight clone at the time, the new installment in the series looks like a fairly conventional side-scrolling brawler, albeit with a more gritty vibe than most recent takes on the genre. 8 main stages, over 50 weapons and special attacks, and most of all, “over 80 different bullies and idiots” to beat. As you might have guessed, local co-op is supported. This is the best way to beat bad guys.
