Luke — N++
If you like punishing platformers, N++ is probably already in your library. But if not, you might be happy to see 60% off in the ID@Xbox sale. thousand handmade level. Like its Xbox Live Arcade predecessor, N++ is a minimalist, momentum-based platformer with no visual clutter to distract you from the task at hand. Guide the little ninja to the exit while dodging mines, missiles, lasers and enemies. more. It looks simple at first glance, but pinpoint accuracy and thorough system knowledge of the game are required as you start to get into the more tricky stages. Work your way through hazards with a perfect string of wall kicks and use the incline as a kicker to increase your jump height. Or as a buffer to soften the impact of landings and prevent deaths from fall damage, or even coordinating his approach with other players as he tackles some of the game’s creative multiplayer stages. You can also
Beyond the most basic obstacle course, each level has a puzzle aspect that challenges basic traversal skills such as understanding in which order the switches need to be pressed, learning timing, and identifying moving hazards. Manipulate the cycle of sets, and even threats, in creative ways to pave your way through each death trap. In co-op play, this goes even further, with one player having to race switches to open up new paths for the other before death catches up, or someone having to take the bullet for their buddy. It’s not uncommon for even one person to escape. If the thousands of levels offered aren’t enough, there’s also a nifty level editor for creating and sharing your own, or checking out the many other community creations. At about a tenth of a penny per level at this price for the base game alone, I’d say excellent his N++ is quite a bargain.
N++ (NPLUSPLUS)
This is the long-awaited sequel to the legendary N+, rewritten from the ground up to be bigger, better and prettier in every way. N++ is a fast-paced, momentum-based platformer in which you dodge obstacles, narrowly avoid enemies, and collect gold in beautiful minimalist landscapes.
Luke — Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139…
I loved Nier when I played Yoko Taro’s crazy cross-genre adventure on my Xbox 360. I’ve been meaning to get my hands on this remaster for a while now, so it seems like his new low of 60% off in the Golden Week sale. Good time. I’ve also long been curious about the differences between this and Nier Gestalt. Nier Gestalt is simply the version that was released as the western Nier where you play as Yona’s father instead of her brother, a change made to add some connections to Automata in this remaster. Some of the original game’s issues, especially clunky combat, are addressed here by bringing in the major platinum figures that helped make Automata feel so good, and this remaster is the latest to win the franchise. Gives a more modern feel to match the game Lots of new fans. The soundtrack is once again great, and while we probably won’t be able to play this properly until we put more dents into Sunbreak, we’re very much looking forward to getting hooked on Nier Replicant soon.

Tom — Chernobyl Light
I fell in love with Chernobyl Lights from the moment I started exploring its beautiful world when it was released in 2021. This is a survival horror FPS that uses environmental and audio effects to create tension as you explore the stunning Chernobyl landscape. It relies on the presence of terrifying creatures that want to kill you. What stands out most about this apocalyptic adventure to me is the fact that everything in the game is 3D scanned from the actual Exclusion Zone. This allows Chernobyl Light to feel rooted in reality. We play as a scientist who has returned to the Zone in search of his missing fiancée, slowly piecing together exactly what happened when the Chernobyl power plant exploded and its dastardly motives. while only revealing a plot that sees us travel through space-time. Those involved. If you’re looking forward to playing STALKER 2 but need something to fill the gap while you wait, Chernobylite is the perfect game to get lost in for a few hours. Explore vast and beautiful zones, meet fun characters, and provide your base. A story that feels original and can be customized in your own way. It is currently priced at £12.49 / $14.99 / €14.99. This is half the normal asking price and a price I can easily recommend. Totally worth it.
If you haven’t read it yet, talk to the team behind Chernobyl about their experience building a game based on the real-world Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, the creative director’s memories of real-world disasters, and how the game We talked about how it helps. To support those still living in the zone itself. We had a great time talking to all of them. It’s still the highlight of my career. Check it out and let us know what you think!
