The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has many additions and improvements from its predecessor, Breath of the Wild. Added new Ultra Hand abilities, fusion abilities, new locations, enemies, and more.
But Nintendo didn’t stop there, and it looks like Breath of the Wild’s critical glitch has been fixed in the sequel (thanks automaton). However, some may not be too happy about this, as the glitch in question is known as a “whistle sprint”, a trick that allows you to keep springing indefinitely without losing stamina.
How does it work? Just tap the spring button while whistling. Link continues to charge forward without losing stamina, even as he stuffs his fingers into the gob. However, when attempting this in Tears of the Kingdom, pressing the sprint button cancels the whistle and drains stamina as normal.
Given that the glitch itself has proven useful to players, especially speedrunners, many have noticed its absence and aren’t happy about it…
It’s certainly disappointing, but that doesn’t mean you can’t sleep. This game is too good for that.
