MLB The Show 23’s Season 2 Rewards Program kicks off* today, offering tons of amazing new content, including (but not limited to) the Kaiju series.
Inspired by the kaiju, or “weird beast,” movie genre, the kaiju series features some of the most disruptive MLB legends and superstars past and present, including Monte Irvin, John Franco, and Corey Kluber. will appear.

Available in Other Programs, the Kaiju Series Program is a great way to kick off the Season 2 Rewards Program and start adding Kaiju Series players to your Diamonddynasty team.
Play all-new Moments and complete missions that spotlight Kaiju Series program players such as Hunter Renfro, Brandon Lowe, Steven Strasberg, and Billy Williams.
- Challenge the three monster events “Monster Part I” starting today, play “Monster Part II” on May 19th, and the final “Monster Part III” on May 25thth.
- In Showdown Mode, you’ll face Showdown boss Steven Strasburg to earn progress in the Kaiju Other Program.
- In Conquest mode, complete Kaiju Conquest maps to earn packs, stubs, and progress.
Completing each of these tasks not only gives you progress in the Kaiju Other Program, but also gives you ample opportunity to earn XP towards the Season 2 XP Reward Pass.

In addition to the vast amount of Kaiju content to play and rewards to earn, you can also find all-new Kaiju Props in Stadium Creator on current generation consoles, including PlayStation 5. Create stadiums with impressive Kaiju looming right behind the outfield wall. Combine these new Kaiju props with existing props like t-rex, boats, and UFO motherships to create the ultimate Kaiju-inspired setting in which the game takes place.

All this Kaiju content is definitely cool, but it’s just the tip of the iceberg of new content available in Season 2 of Diamonddynasty mode.
Play new content in the Team Affinity 2 program to earn rewards for all 30 MLB clubs and new mini-season challenges, earn rewards with friends in the new Ranked program, climb the leaderboards in co-op mode, Complete a new collection of 99 Overall Bosses. So does the Mysterious Secret series, which will all be featured in Season 2.
