What You Missed Last Week: Rolling Thunder 2 joins the archive with a new record of 67 releases in North America. As a result of this record, his Switch releases from 2021 to date will surpass the total released on all consoles prior to his Switch to date as of June 1st. Dear Nintendo, we hope you are happy with this.
There were four “big deals” during this record-breaking week, at least as far as the news desk is concerned, and they all involved some sort of team management. We have three games coming out by the end of the week: Super Mega Baseball 4 and Etrian Odyssey, and me (Donald) and Neil are currently trying to juggle all these balls. (I know there’s a review of Etrian Odyssey later this week.) It’s not on the eShop outside of Japan, but it’s a reroll of We <3 Katamari, also due out on Friday.
For smaller titles, Team17’s Killer Frequency is in action. Also, although it was quietly released in Europe, Summer seems to have been pulled from North America due to accusations of teaching children how to gamble with her shuffle. (Seriously. This is his T-designated game, just a card game.)
