The Witcher community has come out to support Doug Cockle, the voice of Geralt in CD Projekt’s Game The Witcher game trilogy and the PC Gamer writer’s occasional drinking partner, yesterday on Twitter. revealed that he had cancer.
“I had no idea. Random checks and boom…I have full blown prostate cancer,” Cockle tweeted. “I’m under treatment, but so far I’m doing well. Men over 50… get a PSA test just in case.”

Cockle’s tweet sparked an outpouring of support on social media.fan on witcher and witcher 3 The subreddit sent out wishes to “get well soon”, and Twitter users also supported him.
The good news in this context is that prostate cancer is one of the most treatable cancers. Cockle has not commented further on his diagnosis, but his advice is sound and should be heeded: men over the age of 50 should be tested just in case.
