Atlus has announced that Persona 3 Reload is coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, as well as PC via Steam.
This confirmation came after it was announced during Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase that Reload would launch on Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and PC via Windows. However, Reload will not launch on Nintendo Switch, and this console is not included in Atlus’ list of additional platforms.
Scheduled for release in early 2024, Persona 3 Reload will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch and is a remake of the popular Persona 3. Enhanced audio with updated combat and graphics to resemble Persona 5, and new English narration.
However, “Reload” does not include the additional content of “Persona 3 Fes” and “Persona 3 Portable” including female protagonists. In an interview with IGN, producer Ryota Niizuma and chief director Kazuhisa Wada confirmed that Reload will only include content present in the original Persona 3.
“First of all, I would like to say that the basic concept of the Persona 3 remake was to remake Persona 3, so there is no FES or Portable content,” said Niizuma. said. “We wanted to get really serious about recreating the Persona 3 experience.”
Persona 3 was originally released on the PlayStation 2 in 2006. Persona 3 Fes was his 2007 add-on disc containing updates to the original game, and Persona 3 Portable was released on his PSP, adding features such as going beyond the protagonist and directly controlling his party members. rice field. This female protagonist also first appeared in Persona 3 Portable, but players don’t seem to have the option to play as her on reload.
Meanwhile, Persona 5 Tactica, scheduled for release on November 17, 2023, will be available on Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, PC via Windows and Steam, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch.
Persona 5 Tactica is a new tactical RPG spin-off featuring many of our favorite Persona 5 characters, but in a more chibi art style. Unlike Persona 5’s turn-based combat, Persona 5 Tactica’s combat seems to be more strategic-focused, with players running their characters across the battlefield and deciding how to attack different enemies and who to hit. and decide where to place it.
