Following another teaser for Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope – The Last Spark Hunter at Ubisoft Forward last week, new details have emerged about this second DLC update.
This was posted via a message on the official Switch news channel. It recounts how Mario and the Rabbids are tasked with saving Melodic Garden from Kanya, the “last Sparkhunter” who created “Mecha King Bombom”.
Here’s the full synopsis (via Nintendo Everything):
As Mario and his friends approach Casa’s fortress, they detect an interesting signal from the Melodic Gardens. Melodic Gardens is an enchanting musical planet galaxy famous for its harmonious biophony of alien beauty. Suspecting a new dark female invasion, the heroes change course but end up trapped on a silent planet.
Explore the Melodic Gardens and uncover the source of the threats that watch over this once vibrant place of music. Meet the planet’s wild inhabitants, explore the musical jungles and mysterious ruins that dot this new biome, and sail the vast oceans and sparkling lakes in your newfound boat. However, tread carefully as new enemies await on this perilous path. Golems and Fieldbreakers roam the planet, offering new tactical challenges to even the most experienced.
To save the Melodic Garden, you must face Kanya, the last Spark Hunter. This highly dangerous and technological villain will stop at nothing to accomplish her evil plans. Note that stopping her won’t be easy, as she has created a powerful weapon never seen before, the Mecha-King Bob Omb.
