final fantasy 16 was generally well received, but there were still some requests, especially regarding the use of motion blur and its limited control scheme. Square Enix has released update 1.000.003 that addresses both concerns and a few others.
Final Fantasy 16 1.000.003 update patch notes include several features
This 267.1MB update allows players to choose from three additional control schemes. These three new control schemes (D, E, F) swap triggers, shoulder buttons and some face buttons, but it’s still not possible to set each button individually.
Other changes are visual and camera specific. You can now dial down motion blur in graphics settings or turn it off completely. Players can now also toggle whether the camera zooms behind Clive while moving or attacking. Also, with a maximum value of 20 (up from 10), the overall sensitivity can be finer tuned.
It’s unclear at this time if this solves some of the performance issues Square Enix said it was working on. Regardless, here Here are the full patch notes for the Final Fantasy 16 1.000.003 update:
- Add the following items to the System tab of the main menu:
- motion blur strength
- Allows the player to adjust the intensity of the motion blur effect when the character or camera is moving. The default setting is 5, the maximum. You can lower this to reduce the intensity of the motion blur effect, or set it to 0 to turn it off completely.
- Player follow (move)
- Player Follow (Attack)
- Turning these settings off will prevent the camera from automatically following the player while moving or attacking.
- motion blur strength
- Change the maximum setting of the “Camera Sensitivity (Horizontal)” and “Camera Sensitivity (Vertical)” items from 10 to 20.
- Adds three new controller layouts (types D, E, and F).
- Fixes an issue affecting the stability of some menus.
- Fix some text issues.
- Add the hashtag #FF16 when sharing screenshots or video clips on Twitter
