It’s been a little over thirteen months since the game first came out, and in the meantime, you’ve been busy. You’ve destroyed nearly 6 million testicles on him, completed over 250 million headshots, and penetrated each other’s games over 5 million times.
Everyone at Rebellion was delighted with the reception the game received upon its release last May, and since then we have been busy reading and listening to all of your feedback. Feedback from the community is really valuable and allows us to improve the game every step of the way.
The level of knowledge and expertise within the community, especially in authentic recreations of WWII settings, weapons, uniforms and vehicles, has always been a source of great pride and information for the studio.
It’s important to learn from every game you release, and one of the areas we focus on is accessibility. We have introduced several new features such as the depth of field slider. These will be regular features in future games. We know we still have a long way to go, but we are heading in the right direction.
Whether you’re a seasoned series veteran or new to looking down at Carl’s virtual scope, we want to thank everyone for taking the time to play Sniper Elite 5. Speaking of Season Pass 2, the final content drop, Kraken Awakes, has hit the store.
This pack includes a brand-new mission that has been launched where our protagonist, Karl Fairbairn, is sent to a military dock housing an aircraft carrier under construction, the new home of Operation Kraken.
It’s set at night, so you’ll have to use the darkness and shadows to your advantage to infiltrate the carrier and sabotage it so it can never launch. We also need to finish off the new leader of this plan, Friedrich Vogel, former lieutenant of Abelard Möller.
The pack also includes the new Mod.712 pistol and Patriot weapon skins, as well as the American Airborne character skin to complete Carl’s American look.
In addition to the Kraken Awakes pack, we are also releasing a new multiplayer map that is currently free for all players. Abandoned Quarry offers many opportunities for both stealth and any action playstyle.
