Ever wondered what people cook and eat in a galaxy far, far away? Well, according to Ubisoft Massive Creative Director Julian Gerighty’s cryptic teasing, Star Wars Outlaws might give players the chance to discover it for themselves.
During a panel discussion covering the game at San Diego Comic-Con today, Geraity took part in a discussion detailing Tatooine and the satellite Toshara, the new location the team has created. After discussing speeders and geographic aesthetics, Mr. Geraiti concluded the panel discussion by teasing two of his potential surprises you might encounter in Toshara.
“There are some surprises that I don’t want to spoil,” he said. “Toshara has some amazingly cool special predators. So if you’re afraid of frogs, this game might not be for you. Okay, very rarely. Secondly, food is incredibly important to the Star Wars universe. And if you like discovering food and alien concoctions, this will be an exciting experience for you.”
Geraiti just checked the cooking system? It’s not certain. But these days, so many games, including open-world games, implement cooking systems, which shouldn’t come as a surprise. I’ve never seen a detailed interactive cooking scenario in the Star Wars universe before ( official cookbook series), so the inclusion of food in Outlaws would be a big shift in allowing viewers to experience the unique cuisine that exists in the galaxy. blue milk, anyone?
We also interviewed the teams at Ubisoft Massive and Lucasfilm on the same topic to learn more about Outlaws.
