Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth achievements bring back Sujidex, Job mastery, & minigames

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is out today, and judging by all the excellent reviews, it’s bigger and better than ever. We thought we’d take a look at the Yakuza: Like a Dragon achievement list for an idea of how players of the new game might fare with the Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth achievements (those which aren’t secret!) too.

Yakuza: LAD has two achievements fewer than Infinite Wealth, and an estimated completion time of around 80-100 hours. It’s worth mentioning here, too, that Yakuza: LAD came to Game Pass, which gave it a big boost in players and likely affected its stats when compared to Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (for instance, if players tried Yakuza: LAD out when it joined the service but decided against continuing with it and hunting down end-game achievements).

Only 4% of the over 78,000 registered gamers here on TrueAchievements have completed Yakuza: LAD — as you find more to do across the map, all the side content starts to spread out, and you can see this a little with the game’s achievements. Like Yakuza: LAD, Infinite Wealth enjoys playing around with nods to other popular franchises, and this latest installment goes all Animal Crossing with a whole chunk of side content dedicated to revitalizing an island. There’s naturally a considerable amount of new content in Infinite Wealth, meaning all-new achievement requirements, but Infinite Wealth also sees the return of the Sujidex and its catch ‘em all gameplay (although in this franchise, you’re not collecting cute creatures but instead registering brilliantly bizarre enemy types), along with its associated achievements.

There are even more Sujidex-related achievements in Infinite Wealth, but it has two that resemble those in Yakuza: LAD: an achievement for registering 100 Sujimon to the Sujidex, and one for registering 200. In Yakuza: LAD, 50% of players registered over 100 Sujimon to the Sujidex, while 36% continued on to register over 200 Sujimon. It looks as though the Sujimon side of things in Infinite Wealth is even more extensive, as there are three more achievements related to Sujimon beyond just filling out the Sujidex. You’ve got the Suji League Champion achievement for completing all Sujimon-related substories, the Sujimon Snag ‘Em achievement for recruiting ten Sujimon from battle, and the Prize Fighter achievement for maxing out a Sujimon’s level and friendship.

Yakuza: LAD’s Man About Town achievement, meanwhile, rewards you for playing over ten minigames. Only 24% of players unlocked this achievement, which seems to prove just how much there is to do in these games. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth has the same achievement under a different name (Having Fun Yet?) and it’ll be interesting to see if it fares the same way.

Yakuza: LAD had achievements for reaching levels 10, 50, and 70 with Kasuga — 79% of players reached level ten, while 46% reached level 30, 39% reached level 50, and 17% reached level 70. Infinite Wealth has these same achievements too, and while leveling up Kasuga may yet prove to be an entirely different experience in Infinite Wealth, it’ll be interesting to see how players fare in the latest game.

We’ve also got the return of achievements for completing substories. In Yakuza: LAD, there were achievements for completing ten substories (60% unlocked this), completing 20 substories (42% gamers unlocked this too), and completing 40 substories (23% unlocked this achievement). These achievements are back in Infinite Wealth, along with that new achievement for completing all Sujimon-related substories.

There are similar achievements for raising job ranks to max (jobs being the equivalent of character classes). As in Yakuza: LAD, Infinite Wealth has achievements for raising three jobs to rank 30 and raising seven jobs to rank 30. 30% of players managed the first achievement in Yakuza: LAD, with 21% unlocking the second too. Infinite Wealth also has another job rank-based achievement to Yakuza: LAD, worded slightly differently; Yakuza: LAD has the Professional achievement for raising one job’s rank to max, while Infinite Wealth has the Side Hustle achievement for raising a job to rank 30. The Professional achievement guide suggests that while the max level for jobs is 99, the game thinks of it as maxed if you reach level 30, so this achievement is perhaps still a good indicator of how we might fare with the Side Hustle achievement in Infinite Wealth (32% of tracked gamers unlocked the Professional achievement).

Yakuza: LAD remains one of the best RPGs on Xbox and one of the best Xbox open-world games, and we can’t wait to spend hundreds of hours seeing what the zany world of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth has to offer.
