Sony has revealed that the July 2022 PlayStation Plus games are Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time (PS5 & PS4), The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan (PS4), and Arcadegeddon (PS5 & PS4).
All three games published on the PlayStation Blog will be available to all PlayStation Plus subscribers from July 5th at no additional charge.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s about Time The long-awaited sequel (hence the name) of the classic and chaotic platform trilogy introduced on the original PlayStation. The game is incredibly bright and colorful, but despite the cartoon graphics, the platform is still nail-tough.
In a review on 8/10, “Crash Bandicoot 4 is a return to great shape with some new ideas to add a fresh spin to the classic gameplay of Crash.”
The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan is the first in the Supermassive Games anthology. It’s not as widespread as the horror games of larger movies in studios like Until Dawn and The Quarry, but Man of Medan allows players to control (and choose) different characters and survive the night.
“It’s not easy to keep everyone alive in the Man of Medan, especially in co-op play with two people,” IGN said on 7/10.
The final game, Arcadegeddon, is a collaborative PvE and PvP multiplayer shooter set in a wacky world where players are fighting to save their last local arcade. Every corner of Illfonic’s “evolving” shooter is new, with a variety of biomes, mini-games, chests to find, and more.
These three new games will be available for free until August 1st, but last month’s games (God of War, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl) will be available until July 4th.
Sony is now officially launching an updated PlayStation Plus tier worldwide, but as evidenced by this collection of free games, the lowest cost Essential tier is virtually the same as the previous PlayStation Plus.
