If you’re looking for a new way to organize your retro video game collection, read on. Masahiro Sakurai, the creator of Kirby and the director of the Super Smash Bros. series, recently shared images of his impressive retro-game library on social media.
As you can see, he is stacking draws with cartridges such as Golden Eye 007 and Batman, and there is also an entire Super Nintendo unit. Sakurai’s latest tweets have generated over 50,000 likes on social media so far, and some followers are calling on Sakurai to launch his own retro collector series on YouTube.
This isn’t the first time fans have seen Sakurai’s personal game collection. Previously, his main setup included two large TVs side by side, multiple consoles under both units, and a PlayStation and Nintendo family of systems.
In 2019, Sakurai mentioned in his regular Famitsu column how he had (at that time) 60 different controllers, multiple switch consoles, and multiple PlayStation devices. He has also recently added PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X to his collection.
