In Massive Monster and Devolver Digital’s Cult of Lamb, players serve The One Who Waits, playing the role of Lamb, a cute cult leader and adorable pioneer of death-saving fate. Players find new followers and resources to embark on the Crusades through randomly generated dungeons filled with hordes of monsters and false prophets and return to the cult.
Of course, what is a herdless shepherd? When you get home, you have to teach the cult a new believer. You can customize them, build new structures and give great sermons at the temple. This allows you to draw power from your followers and become stronger for the next Crusaders.
To perform a successful and productive cult, you need to keep your followers healthy and trust in you. They have a need to meet. Otherwise, they will be unhappy and will eventually turn their backs on you. Build a house, make a place to sleep at night, grow crops, cook meals, nourish them and keep them happy …
… And make sure you clean their poop.
What comes in must come out! Followers leave waste that needs to be cleaned up. Otherwise, you may get sick and eventually die. Initially, keeping the community clean and tidy is the job of a humble lamb. However, as the cult grows, it unlocks structures that facilitate maintenance and eventually becomes self-sustaining. You don’t have to do that because the hanare provides your followers with a place to do business and privacy, and the Janitor Station can assign your followers a place-to-clean job.
Do you remember the crop you were growing? Well, I don’t want to waste it! The collected poop can be used to fertilize farmland, maximize its production and grow juicy good harvests. After building a farmer station and some silos, followers will plant new seeds before fertilizing. As a mighty lamb, you have to get your cult members to do a dirty job for you! Poop can also be used for cooking experiments … not everyone does that, right?
Everything is used in the lamb cult-even poop 💩
The Cult of the Lamb will be available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on August 11th.
