After a four-year hiatus, Insomniac Games revealed a brand-new trailer for its highly anticipated action game, Marvel’s Wolverine. Similar to Marvel’s Spider-Man, the game will be based on the beloved mutant, but will be set in its own universe created by the studio.
When is the Marvel’s Wolverine PS5 release date?
PS5 players were not just treated to a new trailer that featured gameplay of Marvel’s Wolverine. We now know when fans will get their hands on Insomniac Games’ next project. While it isn’t a solid date, the game is slated to release in Fall 2026. Check out the trailer below to get a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming title. Spoilers: it is pretty bloody.
Here is a brief description Marvel’s Wolverine:
“Become a living weapon. As he searches for answers about his past, Wolverine will do whatever it takes – unleashing brutal claw combat, violent rage, and relentless determination – to cut through the mystery of the man he used to be.”
Fans might recognize some of the characters in the Marvel’s Wolverine trailer. Other popular X-Men characters featured in the game include Omega Red and Mystique. We also get a glimpse of the outfits Logan will sport during his quest, including Insomniac’s interpretation of the fan-favorite yellow X-Men suit.
It was also announced who would be playing the iconic comic book character. During the State of Play, it was revealed Liam McIntyre (Spartacus) would take on the role.
Marvel’s Wolverine was originally revealed during the 2021 PlayStation Showcase with a very brief teaser featuring several Marvel Easter eggs related to the claw-wielding X-Man.
