The developers quoted feedback from the community as a major reason to temporarily remove the leaderboard and said they were starting to work on a “better solution.” There is no exact time frame for features to be updated and reintroduced, but Crytek said it will continue to update the community.
This is just a temporary removal of the leaderboard. Players can continue to see their stats and remain visible in their profile. Still, the decision seems to have worked mostly in the community. However, some people find that removing the leaderboard does not fix the problem. We want Crytek to go one step further and remove the KD statistics altogether.
