Well, it’s about time! Wave 2 of Mario Kart 8’s long list of upcoming DLC has finally been announced.
Beginning August 4th (next Thursday), players will have access to eight additional tracks in the form of two new Cups, the Cub and Propeller Cups.
The biggest question that has to be answered is which tracks are displayed. Check out the courses that make up Wave 2.
Cub cup
- Tour New York Minutes – Take a scenic drive past towering skyscrapers and parks on this Big Apple-inspired track from a mobile game Mario Kart Tour..
- SNES Mario Circuit 3 – Drift tight corners and avoid warp pipes on this classic track that started with. Super Mario Kart on the Super Famicom.
- N64 Kalimari Desert – Old-fashioned steam trains cross the track in this desert race. Be careful not to be late.
- DS Waluigi Pinball – Inspired by a giant pinball table, this course uses colorful lights and sounds to launch, clash and weave. Do not tilt.
Propeller cup
- Tour Sydney Sprint – Originating in Sydney, this course basks in the sunshine as you soar over the bay and take in the sights. Mario Kart Tour..
- GBA Snowland – Watch out for slips on this course in winter. mario kart super circuit.. Just remember: the colder head will win.
- Wii Mushroom Canyon – This course features underground caverns, deep chasms, and giant mushrooms that pop out. Land safely!
- Sky-High Sundae – The competition may be fierce, but that doesn’t mean you can’t keep your cool in this sweet race filled with larger-than-life desserts at nearly every turn. Prove that you are number one under the sun!
It looks like a good mix of retro tracks from across the Mario Kart franchise, with some classics like Wii’s Mushroom Gorge and more obscure entries like GBA Snowland. It looks like we have a completely new track in the form of High Sundae. This is a delicious-sounding track that is sure to inspire our competitive spirit.
If you haven’t checked out the previous DLC yet, check out the first wave, which released in March, and it didn’t disappoint.
