In a recent earnings call, Take-Two said GTA 6 is currently in full development and aims to “set the creative standard” for “all things entertainment.”
Grand Theft Auto V continues to perform well, selling nearly 170 million copies to date unit. Development of the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway and Rockstar The game team is the series, our industry, and All entertainment as the label has done with all of its frontline releases.
Not only will this game raise the bar for the GTA series, it will make waves across the industry and entertainment as a whole.
It’s a bold statement from the parent company, but it makes sense given how well GTA 5 and its online component have done over the past nine years. After nearly a decade of success, it’s certainly impressive to see his GTA 6 emulate that level of incredible success.
The game is still in the early stages of development, so it could be a long time before we learn more about how GTA 6 pushes the boundaries of game design.
