Sega has confirmed that Space Channel 5 and Comics Zone games will be shown on the big screen.

The films will reportedly be written by Barry Battles and Nir Paniry, who wrote The Baytown Outlaws and Extracted respectively.
What is Comics Zone? It will also have a new name, Zone, and will be written by Mae Catt, whose credits include Young Justice and Dragons: The Nine Realm.

Sega video game director Takumi Yoshinaga will oversee Channel 5, and Sega video game producer Kasei Shimomura will join the Zone team. Both films will feature the same production house, Picturestart, headed by Royce Reeves-Darby and Erik Feig, and his girlfriend Samie Kim Falvey, who is also involved in his upcoming Borderlands movie.
The project will be produced by Sega’s Tori Nakahara, who also produced the Sonic the Hedgehog film series.
