Apart from the Cyberpunk 2077 game story, this anime is a standalone 10-part series about a street kid who decides to survive by becoming a mercenary Edgerunner. As a cyberpunk, he can survive and hopefully thrive in a tech-obsessed, body-mod-obsessed Night City.
Developer CD Projekt RED, who has been working on the series since 2018, is creating Edgerunners with showrunner Rafal Jaki, creator of The Witcher: Ronin comics.
